World's Edge is a line of cliffs along the Blue Ridge Escarpment near the Polk-Rutherford County line in Western North Carolina, now part of Chimney Rock State Park. It marks a dramatic point where the southern mountains drop away to the Piedmont below, offering sweeping views of the surrounding ranges and lowlands.
