Toxaway Falls
Toxaway Falls, NC
Toxaway Falls is a long sliding cascade in the Lake Toxaway area of Transylvania County, dropping over open granite bedrock just below the US 64 bridge. It is easily viewed from a roadside walkway, and its broad exposed rock face was scoured clean when the Toxaway Dam burst during a 1916 flood. It is one of the more accessible waterfalls in the region.
