The South Fork Mills River (commonly the South Mills River) flows through the Pisgah National Forest in western North Carolina, with much of its course accessible only on foot. It is a well-known backcountry trout stream, holding wild rainbow and brown trout and drawing fly anglers via access points like Turkey Pen Road and the Cradle of Forestry area.
