Snowball Mountain

Buncombe County, NC

Snowball Mountain is a roughly 5,300-foot summit in the Great Craggy Mountains of Buncombe County, near the Blue Ridge Parkway's Craggy Gardens area. The Snowball Mountain Trail crosses its high ridge and continues to the Hawkbill Rock overlook, a moderate-to-strenuous hike known for panoramic views. Part of the mountain is permanently protected as conserved land.
