Rumbling Bald is a large complex of cliffs and boulder fields near Lake Lure in Rutherford County, part of Chimney Rock State Park. It is one of the premier rock climbing and bouldering destinations in the Southeast, drawing climbers especially in the cooler months, and is also reached by the Rumbling Bald Trail.
