Lake Tahoma

McDowell County, NC

Lake Tahoma is a private mountain lake in McDowell County, North Carolina, a few miles northwest of Marion. Impounded by a concrete dam on Buck Creek and dating to the 1920s, it serves both as a recreation community and as a drinking-water source for nearby Marion and Nebo.
