Lake Glenville is a large mountain reservoir in Jackson County, North Carolina, near the village of Cashiers, and is often cited as the highest major lake east of the Mississippi River. It offers boating, fishing, and miles of shoreline, with several waterfalls spilling into it. The lake is a popular recreation destination in the southern Jackson County highlands.
