Fairfield Lake is a small mountain lake in the Sapphire Valley area of Jackson County, North Carolina. It serves as a recreation amenity with a swimming beach, boathouse, and a walking trail around the shoreline, and is fished for bass, trout, and crappie. The lake dates to the late 1800s and sits in a valley once worked for gold and gems.
