Deep Gap is a low point on the Black Mountain Crest in Yancey County, North Carolina, reached by trail from Mount Mitchell State Park. It is a well-known destination along the high ridge that holds the largest concentration of 6,000-foot peaks in the eastern United States, with a backcountry campsite along the route.
