Deals Gap is a mountain pass on the North Carolina–Tennessee state line at the southwestern corner of Great Smoky Mountains National Park, where US 129 meets NC 28. It marks the start of the famous "Tail of the Dragon," a tightly curving stretch of US 129 popular with motorcyclists and sports-car drivers.
