Craggy Dome is the highest peak of the Great Craggy Mountains in Buncombe County, rising above 6,000 feet just off the Blue Ridge Parkway northeast of Asheville. The rounded, rhododendron-cloaked summit is a recognizable landmark of the Craggy Gardens area.
