Cheoah Lake

Graham County, NC

Cheoah Lake is a narrow hydroelectric reservoir on the Little Tennessee River in Graham and Swain counties, North Carolina, impounded by the historic Cheoah Dam completed in 1919. The dam, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, was the world's highest overflow dam when it was built, and the lake is surrounded by the Nantahala National Forest.
