Black Camp Gap

Swain County, NC

Black Camp Gap is a mountain gap in Swain County, North Carolina, marking the boundary between the Blue Ridge Parkway and Great Smoky Mountains National Park where Heintooga Ridge Road begins. It is the gateway to the high-elevation Balsam Mountain area and is the site of a stone Masonic monument built in 1938 from stones gathered from around the world.
