Bearwallow Mountain is a grassy bald summit in the Hickory Nut Gorge area near Hendersonville in Henderson County. A short trail leads to its open meadow top, where a historic 1930s fire lookout tower stands and free-range cattle graze, with wide views toward Mount Mitchell, Mount Pisgah, and the gorge below.
