Bald Knob Ridge

Yancey County, NC

Bald Knob Ridge is a forested ridge in the Black Mountains of Yancey County, near Burnsville, traversed by the Forest Service's Bald Knob Ridge Trail. The trail climbs through stands of red spruce and Fraser fir to meet the Blue Ridge Parkway, offering views across the Black Mountains. It is a popular out-and-back hike in Pisgah National Forest.
