Andrews Geyser

Dendron, NC

Andrews Geyser is a man-made fountain near Old Fort in McDowell County, North Carolina, built in 1885 as a feature of the former Round Knob Hotel and a tribute to the workers who built the railroad over the mountains. Fed entirely by gravity from an uphill pond, it shoots a tall jet of water into the air and sits in a small public park.
